Removes whatever is selected without making a Clipboard copy.

You can also press Delete or Backspace to clear a selected object.

Use Clear to remove a selection when you don’t want to change the contents of the Clipboard.

You can use Undo to put the selection back before taking any other action.

Makes a copy of the selected object and places in in your document, slightly to the right of and below the original.

Duplicate doesn’t place the selection on the Clipboard, as Copy does, nor does it copy the task information associated with any graphics. To copy the task information along with the graphics, use Copy.
